Enterprise SEO Architecture, Large-Scale Platform Migration & Occupational Taxonomy Engineering for Romania’s largest Job Aggregator

About the Client

Jobradar24 is one of Romania’s largest job aggregators and a subsidiary of eJobs — one of the country’s leading recruitment platforms.

Structurally and strategically, it mirrors Imoradar24, operating on an aggregation model that consolidates listings from multiple sources into a unified search experience.

The platform operates at enterprise scale with:

  • Tens of thousands of indexable category pages
  • Constant listing churn
  • Multi-layered filters (industry, experience, contract type, salary, remote)
  • A complex geo-model (cities, counties, developing areas)

Like any large aggregator, growth required architectural control — not just optimization tweaks.

The Challenge

Job platforms introduce structural complexity:

  • Listings expire daily
  • New occupations emerge rapidly
  • Location demand shifts
  • Taxonomy drift creates semantic inconsistencies
  • Crawl budget can easily be wasted

In 2025, the platform also underwent a full migration — introducing a new URL hierarchy that added a county-level folder across location-based URLs.

The objective was clear:

  1. Execute the migration without losing organic equity.
  2. Rebuild the category architecture for long-term scalability.

Technical SEO

Enterprise Migration

In 2025, Jobradar24 migrated to a new structural framework.

The migration included:

  • Complete URL restructuring
  • Introduction of county folders in the URL hierarchy
  • 301 and selective 302 redirects depending on page logic
  • Redirect mapping across:
    • Category pages
    • Location pages
    • Industry pages
    • Listings
  • Canonical logic adjustments
  • Structured data reimplementation
  • Pre- and post-launch validation audits

The introduction of the county layer improved hierarchical clarity and geo-relevance, but required precise redirect orchestration to avoid equity loss.

The migration was executed successfully, with minimal organic volatility and fast stabilization — mirroring the enterprise approach applied to Imoradar24.

Crawl Budget & Indexation Control

Given the high listing turnover, crawl efficiency was critical.

We continuously audited:

  • Expired job handling logic
  • Duplicate category risk
  • Canonical consistency
  • Parameter control
  • Internal link depth
  • Structured data integrity

Particular focus was placed on preserving category strength even as individual listings expired. This ensured that volatile listing pages did not weaken long-term ranking stability.

The result was improved indexation consistency across a high-churn environment.

On-Page SEO

Geo-Model Expansion Based on Search Intent

Instead of indexing every possible location variation, we expanded strategically.

New location pages were activated based on:

  • Verified listing inventory
  • Search demand validation
  • Emerging industrial and residential job hubs
  • Content viability

Only pages with real supply + real search intent were indexed.

The addition of county folders strengthened both:

  • URL hierarchy
  • Semantic geographic clarity

This allowed scalable expansion without thin-page inflation.

Job Category & Trend Expansion

The job market evolves constantly. The taxonomy must evolve with it.

We expanded the category tree based on:

  • Emerging industries
  • Trending job roles
  • Remote and hybrid demand
  • New employment patterns

New job types were introduced only after validating:

  • Search volume
  • Platform inventory
  • Internal linking support

This created a dynamic category structure aligned with labor market trends — not a static taxonomy.

ESCO Standard Implementation

One of the most structurally important initiatives was implementing the ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) framework into the platform’s category mapping.

This included:

  • Mapping existing categories to ESCO occupation families
  • Structuring subsidiaries under standardized hierarchies
  • Aligning listings with formal occupational classifications
  • Rebuilding internal linking logic around occupation clusters

This delivered:

  • Stronger topical clustering
  • Clear entity relationships
  • Reduced ambiguity between similar roles
  • Improved semantic relevance

From an SEO perspective, this enhanced occupational authority and improved structural clarity for search engines.

Off-Page SEO

Romanian Universities Yearbook (EDU PR Campaign)

To build institutional authority, we launched a national campaign: the Romanian Universities Yearbook.

The initiative analyzed:

  • Universities with the strongest employment outcomes
  • Post-graduation job opportunities
  • Career alignment by academic program

Through structured outreach and collaboration, the campaign secured:

  • High-authority EDU backlinks
  • Institutional brand mentions
  • Strong trust signals within academic ecosystems

This positioned Jobradar24 not only as a job listings platform, but as a career intelligence authority.

Results & Impact

  • Successful 2025 migration with county-based URL structure
  • Minimal traffic loss during transition
  • Stabilized and scalable category architecture
  • Search-intent-driven geo expansion
  • ESCO-based occupational taxonomy integration
  • Improved crawl efficiency across volatile listings
  • High-authority EDU backlinks through institutional PR
  • Sustainable organic growth at the category level

Project Recommendation

Stefan Hackman – Imoradar24 / Jobradar24 Product Owner

I worked with Raul for almost six years on jobradar24.ro and imoradar24.ro, collaborating closely due to our product–SEO working relationship.

From the beginning of our collaboration, he brought strong initiative and valuable ideas that contributed to the organic growth of the platforms. Over time, he supported efforts to improve and stabilize search visibility in a competitive market environment with a limited budget.

He is calm and diligent, and a constructive partner in discussions around optimization opportunities and product alignment.

I wish him continued success in roles where his SEO expertise can be fully utilized.
